Promises made by Ethiopian government officials including by the Prime Minister towards Tigray have always lacked truthfulness and veracity since even before the onset of armed conflict in November 2020.
The Biblical story of Ahab and Naboth recounts a similar situation to Ethiopia and Tigray illustrating that even powerful leaders have ethical and more limits in their actions.
